GT Aeronautics is proud to offer BME engines as the new standard in UAS powerplants. Very light and extremely powerful, the entire line of BME engines, from the 50cc to the Extreme 110cc, supply unrivaled power compared to other engines of the same size. Shown at the right is the BME Extreme 110cc twin cylinder two-stroke engine, used in various GT Aeronautics UAS applications. The BME 110 supplies an incredible 10.5 horsepower, turning a 26 x 10 prop at over 8,000 rpm!! And at full power, the fuel burn is a "range-enhancing" 3.3 fluid ounces per minute - allowing your aircraft to achieve the same range with less fuel - and more payload! |

Each BME engine is supplied with stock mufflers and equipped with a miniature CDI (Capacitive Discharge Ignition) electronic ignition by C & H Electronics. This new ignition system is housed in a rugged aluminum case that measures 1.75" x 1.63" x 1.19" and weighs only 3 ounces. In addition to the standard ignition module spark coil, the unit also contains the latest from C & H Electronics, the Syncro spark Computerized Electronic Timing Control. Synchro Spark utilizes a microprocessor to provide a stable, smooth, linear advance when engine RPM increases slowly, but also provides that same stability for those times when maximum power is needed "right now". |
|
GT Aeronautics also provides BME engines equipped with on-board generator and starter systems. The on-board starter system provides the UAS operator with an option in the event of engine failure or a premature landing at an alternate airfield where starting equipment may not be readily available. The on-board generator supplies up to 1000 watts of continuous power with minimal impact on engine horsepower, providing more than enough electrical power for a wide array of RPA/UA systems. |
